I saw your post in the DMB Camden FB group. Not quite sure what kind of stories you’re looking for, but for me I remember really getting into the band my freshman year of college. I had listened to some songs, and through a dorm mate who was a full fledged fan I really dove right in.

My mother died suddenly from an extremely short battle with cancer (we found out two weeks before she died), and I think I listened to Before These Crowded Streets and Live From Luther College on repeat for months to mentally escape. Needless to say I’ve had every album since then. Everytime I hear So Damn Lucky I’m quickly taken back to the last time I saw my mother alive and her trying to say goodbye from her ICU bed.

In 2013 (up to this point I’d only seen the band twice) I decided to go to another show. I took a friend with me on a whim, and we’ve only missed one summer tour! It’s become our thing. We’ve done Mexico. I’ve been to the Gorge. I even squeezed in a date right after MSG with the man that is now my husband. I even have a list in my phone of concerts I’ve attended and who has joined me over the years. The rule is you have to get to 2 shows for me to add you to the “legend”.

Needless to say DMB is a huge part of what brings me joy!

If you find any of this interesting, I’d be happy to be part of your project.
